Our Story
Rick and Barbara Rees started Greatime Getaways ten years ago to provide
affordable, friendly motorcoach tours from north Georgia to the exciting casinos springing up in Mississippi. From a modest
begin with a few adventurous travelers, over six-hundred getaways have ensued, and through friends telling friends over
5,000 people have joined the gang for at least one getaway.
In addition to timely, reliable travel on late
model deluxe motor coaches and excellent accommodations at top rated hotels, the prime attraction of our getaways is the friendly
and convivial atmosphere generated by our great group of loyal travelers that we call the Getaways Gang. Whether it's your
first trip or your fiftieth you'll always find a friendly, upbeat atmosphere, the latest jokes, lively conversation, and the
excitement of spirited group off to have a greatime on a getaway.
As the gang has grown the trips have become
more frequent and the itineraries more varied. Greatime Getaways now offers:
-Regular day trips to Harrah's
Casino in Cherokee, North Carolina with pick-ups in Marietta, Kennesaw, Canton, and Jasper or Cumming and Dawsonville.
-Twice
monthly, three day/two night tours that rotate between Biloxi-Gilfport, Tunica, and Philadelphia-Vicksburg, Mississippi
-Custom
group tours for clubs and organizations
-Safe, smooth, and swift motoring with Dale Huxhold at the wheel
